We spent years perfecting our coffee roast and the blend that made our reputation. That’s why today, we put time and effort – lots of it – into crafting each espresso in-store, to ensure the rich flavour of our blend comes to life.
From origin to cup, every stage of coffee crafting is as vital as the one before it. Only the freshest coffee produces the flavour we work so hard to capture, so we only grind exactly what we need for each cup – one cup at a time.
No more, no less.
Even then, the skill of our baristas in perfecting the dose and tamp (the amount of pressure exerted when the ground coffee is placed into the filter handle) is vital. That’s why we train our baristas so obsessively.
The rate of pour – the speed at which the coffee flows into the cup – has to be consistent and smooth. Too quick or too slow and it simply won’t be right. And we know when it is right: it will be topped with a beautiful hazelnut-coloured ‘crema’ that is the signature of the perfect espresso.
Last but not least, if you’re adding milk to your drink, our baristas are trained to prepare it with the same artistry and expertise as our coffee. Steamed to perfection and providing a natural, subtle sweetness, it’s the ideal complement to our espresso.
After all that, if your coffee isn’t to your taste, we’ll happily replace it. Our job is to make your coffee the way you want it, every time you visit us.
